At Battle Mouse Shooting Range in Pattaya you fire real guns with live ammunition — not air pistols or replicas — inside an air-conditioned indoor range, with a professional instructor beside you throughout the session. For most Indian visitors this is something they cannot legally do at home, which is a large part of why the range draws so many travellers passing through Thailand.

The venue is a purpose-built shooting club: a large indoor hall with multiple lanes and competition-standard (IDPA/IPSC) facilities, so the session feels controlled rather than chaotic. You begin with a safety briefing, put on ear and eye protection, choose your firearm, and your coach runs through the correct stance, grip and aim before your first shot. Complete beginners and people who have shot before are both handled at their own pace.

You decide which weapon to use and how many rounds to fire. The range stocks a broad selection:

  • Pistols and revolvers: a light-recoiling .22 through to .38, 9mm (Glock) and the heavier .45.
  • Rifles: semi-automatic models, which give a steadier hold over longer distances than a handgun.
  • Shotgun: noticeably louder, with a heavier kick into the shoulder.
  • Sniper rifle: a scoped long-distance shot, usually the option people ask for last.

    They are. The range uses genuine firearms and live ammunition, not air guns or replicas. Everything takes place in the air-conditioned indoor range, with a trained instructor at your side, the full set of protective gear, and a briefing before you fire your first round.

  • What guns can I choose from?

    The choice runs from light pistols and revolvers (.22, .38) up to 9mm Glock and .45, alongside rifles, a shotgun and a sniper rifle.   • Can a beginner do this, and is there a minimum age?

    Beginners make up most of the guests here, and no prior experience is assumed. The instructor demonstrates grip, stance and aim and stays with you for the whole session. The activity is restricted to adults because live firearms are used, and a valid passport or government photo ID is checked at entry. Children are not admitted.

  • Where in Pattaya is the range, and do you handle transfers?

    It sits in the Nong Prue area, close to the Pattaya Floating Market, about 15 to 25 minutes by road from the central beach and Walking Street depending on traffic. We can book a hotel pickup and drop-off for an added cost if you ask in advance over WhatsApp.

  • Can I take photos and videos?

    You can. Photos at the end, including your marked target sheet, are fine and worth taking. At the firing line, follow the staff's cue on when it is safe to use a camera or phone.
