About this tour
Ramayana Water Park is the largest water park in the Pattaya area, covering about 184,000 square metres (roughly 100 rai) across the hills of Na Jomtien, around 20 km south of central Pattaya. It ranks among the biggest water parks in Southeast Asia, and the scale means a visit fills most of a day rather than an hour or two. The mix of attractions runs from quiet pools to steep, fast slides, so a group with mixed ages and nerve levels can each find rides that suit them.
The park is built around the Ramakien, the Thai version of the Ramayana, and the theming carries through the grounds in caves, stone sculptures and the ruins of a mythical lost city. Indian visitors tend to recognise the story straight away. The attractions break down as follows:
- Water slides — 21 in total, including the near-vertical FreeFall, the looping AquaLoop, the twisting Python and Aquaconda, the Boomerango raft ride, and the Aquacoaster, a water roller-coaster that uses jets to push riders uphill.
- Family & kids zones — separate Family Aqua-Play and Kid Aqua-Play areas with low slides, tipping buckets and splash features, giving younger children and first-timers a shallow place of their own away from the bigger rides.
- 600-metre Lazy Wavy River — the longest and slowest attraction in the park. Take a tube and drift past geysers, waterfalls, themed ruins and a grotto cave.
- Wave pool & relax pool — a double wave pool, among the largest in Thailand, for riding the swells, alongside a calmer relax pool with a swim-up bar.
- Themed restaurants — several dining spots inside the park serving Thai, Italian, American and European food, with vegetarian options and plenty of snacks and drinks.
A full day is realistic, and most visitors do not cover every ride. The grounds are landscaped and well maintained, with lifeguards posted at the slides. Because the park sits outside town, it suits a planned day trip rather than a short stop fitted around the beach.
Please note: Closed on Wednesdays. Outside food is NOT allowed inside the park. Wear proper swimwear without metal zippers/buttons. Children under 106 cm enter free.

Quick tips for your trip
- Recommended time to visit: The park opens at 11:00 AM and is closed on Wednesdays, so reach soon after opening to enjoy the slides before the afternoon crowds. It runs year-round, but the cooler, drier months (November to March) are the most comfortable.
- Dress code: Wear proper, lined swimwear. For safety, cotton t-shirts, jeans, cut-offs, and anything with metal zippers, buckles or studs are not allowed on the slides — a rash guard, lycra or spandex top is perfect. Pack a change of dry clothes.
- Photography tip: Leave your main phone in the locker and bring a waterproof action camera or a phone in a sealed pouch. The cave section of the lazy river and the wave pool are the best spots to shoot, and the light is softest in the late afternoon.
- Recommended visit duration: Plan for at least 5 to 6 hours to make the most of all the slides, pools and the lazy river. Add 30–45 minutes each way for the drive, since the park is about 20 km south of central Pattaya.

Frequently asked questions
-
Is there vegetarian or Indian food at the park? Can I carry my own food?
The park has several restaurants inside serving Thai, Italian, American and European food, and there are vegetarian options and snacks available. Do note that outside food and drinks are not allowed inside (only baby food and medically required items are exceptions), so plan to eat at the in-park restaurants. If pure-veg or Jain food is a must for you, message us on WhatsApp before you go and we will guide you on the best options.
-
Does the park work for young children and grandparents?
Yes. The Family and Kids Aqua-Play zones have low slides for small children, while the pools and the lazy river give older relatives a gentle option away from the thrill rides. Children under 106 cm enter free. Visitors aged 60 and over enter free for the pools but need a full ticket to use the slides, so carry an ID or passport as proof of age. Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
-
What is the drive like from central Pattaya?
The park is in Na Jomtien, around 20 km south of the city centre, which works out to a 30 to 45 minute drive depending on traffic. Since it sits well outside town, treat it as a full-day outing. Paid hotel pick-up and drop-off can be arranged on request through WhatsApp.
-
What should I bring, and is there parking?
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a change of dry clothes. Lockers and towels can be rented inside, and car parking at the park is free. Carry your phone in a waterproof pouch if you want to click photos near the water.
-
When is the park open and which day is it closed?
The park is open daily from about 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Wednesdays (the slides start winding down around 5:30 PM). Timings can change on holidays, so we always reconfirm the current schedule with you on WhatsApp before your visit.
