Thailand Tour Packages from Surat
Surat is one of the few Indian cities where the desire to travel to Thailand runs well ahead of what the airlines have caught up with — and that actually works in your favour. Getting to Bangkok or Phuket from Surat today means one short connecting flight via Mumbai (roughly an hour away) before stepping onto a direct international service. The total door-to-destination journey, if you plan your connections well, can be under 12 hours. Once you arrive, Trip Dust handles everything on the ground: activities, private transfers between cities, Indian and vegetarian food options, and a WhatsApp line in Hindi and English that is open for real questions, not just confirmations.
Our land packages are designed specifically for families and small groups travelling together — the pricing is built around a group of four, which makes the per-person cost genuinely competitive without cutting corners on the experience.
Getting to Thailand from Surat
As of mid-2026, Surat's airport (STV) does not have a direct international flight to Bangkok — Air India Express had launched a nonstop Surat–Bangkok service earlier in the year but discontinued it in May 2026. The practical route today is a connecting flight via Mumbai (BOM), which is about an hour from Surat. Mumbai has multiple daily nonstop flights to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) operated by IndiGo, Air India Express, Thai Airways and others, with flying times of around 4.5 hours. A well-timed connection brings your total Surat-to-Bangkok journey in at roughly 8–11 hours.
Alternatively, connections via Delhi (DEL) work well if you are already travelling north or want a specific airline. Fares vary considerably by season and booking window — we recommend checking Google Flights or any of the major booking platforms for current prices. Flights are not included in our land packages; they are booked separately.
You land at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) for Bangkok and Pattaya. For Phuket, flights arrive at Phuket International Airport (HKT), also well-served from Mumbai.
What Our Land Packages Include
Trip Dust is a TAT-registered operator. Our packages are built around what Indian families actually want: guided activities, private transfers between cities, and the flexibility to add or skip hotels. You are not stuck in a shared coach with strangers, and you are not paying a single rate for services you will never use.
- Activities: Coral Island, Alcazar Show, Safari World, Phi Phi Islands, James Bond Island, and many more — booked in advance so nothing sells out on you.
- Private transfers: Airport pickups, city-to-city runs (Bangkok–Pattaya, Phuket–Krabi), and day-trip drops in your own vehicle.
- Hotels optional: Add our hotel selection or book independently — the land package price does not force a margin-loaded hotel on you.
- Indian food: We know the good vegetarian and Jain-friendly restaurants in every city we cover, and our guides will steer you there.
- Pay on pickup: Select activities can be paid in Thailand, not months in advance.
- WhatsApp support: Reach us at +66 82 885 5990 in Hindi or English before, during and after your trip.
Packages That Work Well for Surat Families
Three itineraries suit Surat travellers particularly well depending on how many days you can spare:
- Pattaya 4 Days — a compact, activity-rich break ideal for a long weekend or a first Thailand trip. Sea, shows, and island day-trips without the need to cover large distances.
- Bangkok + Pattaya 5 Days — the two cities most Surat visitors ask about in a single itinerary. Street food, temples, coral islands, nightlife — a thorough Thailand introduction.
- Bangkok + Phuket 6 Days — for families who want city and beach in the same trip. Phuket's Andaman side has some of the clearest water in Thailand, and the 6-day structure gives you enough time in each place.

Best Months to Travel from Surat
November through February is the sweet spot for most of Thailand — dry, relatively cool (24–32°C), and ideal for beach and city sightseeing alike. These months align perfectly with school holidays in Gujarat, which means if you can book at least 6–8 weeks ahead, you will avoid the scramble for flights and rooms.
March and early April are also good, though temperatures climb. Avoid the Songkran window (Thai New Year, 13–15 April) if you prefer smaller crowds; embrace it if you want to experience one of Asia's most joyful festivals.
May through October brings monsoon conditions — not impossible to travel, but sea activities (island tours, snorkelling) are frequently disrupted, and Phuket and Krabi in particular see rough weather from June to September. Pattaya and Bangkok are less affected and remain viable year-round.
Why Surat Families Choose Trip Dust
Most tour operators build packages for a generic Indian traveller from Delhi or Mumbai. We think about the specific things that matter to Gujarati and Surat families: whether there is good vegetarian food at the places we take you, whether the tour group will be small and Hindi-speaking, and whether the pricing model rewards travelling as a family of four rather than penalising you for not booking 20 people.
Our packages are group-priced — the base price is calculated for a group of four, so a family travelling together pays what makes sense, not an inflated per-person rate. We cover Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi and Chiang Mai, and we can combine cities in the same trip.
See our full package list or go straight to the contact page if you have a specific question.

FAQs — Thailand from Surat
Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Thailand?
As of mid-2026, Indian passport holders still get up to 60 days visa-free in Thailand. Thailand has approved replacing this with a 15-day stay plus a ฿2,000 visa-on-arrival, but it is pending official (Royal Gazette) publication and not yet in force. Because this is changing, always confirm the current rule with the Royal Thai Embassy before you travel — see our Thailand visa guide for Indians for the latest.
What will a Thailand trip from Surat cost roughly?
Flights are the biggest variable and are not included in our land packages — fares from Surat via Mumbai to Bangkok vary widely by season and how far in advance you book. For the land package itself (activities, private transfers, no hotels), our group-priced packages start from around ₹13,500 per person for a group of four. If you add hotels through us, the Smart package (hotels included) starts from ₹13,500 per person and the Luxury package from ₹20,898 per person. These are base prices; a customised quote for your exact dates and group will be more precise.
Is Thailand good for children?
Very much so. Coral Island near Pattaya, Safari World in Bangkok, the Phi Phi Islands snorkelling trips, and the Alcazar cultural show are all genuinely enjoyed by children. Private transfers mean you are not waiting around at bus stops with tired kids. We can adjust itineraries to include lighter days, and most of the family-friendly activities are priced separately so you only pay for what makes sense for your group's ages.
Is vegetarian and Jain food available in Thailand?
Yes, though you need to know where to look. Thai cooking uses fish sauce widely, so dishes that appear vegetarian often are not. In Pattaya and Bangkok there are dedicated Indian vegetarian restaurants, and several locations cater specifically to Jain requirements (no onion, no garlic). Trip Dust guides know these places in every city we cover — just let us know your requirements when you book and we will factor it into your itinerary.
Are there direct flights from Surat to Bangkok?
There is currently no direct international flight from Surat (STV) to Bangkok. The most convenient route is a short domestic hop to Mumbai (about 1 hour) followed by a nonstop Mumbai–Bangkok flight of around 4.5 hours, bringing total travel time to roughly 8–11 hours depending on your layover. Connections via Delhi are also available. Check the latest schedules on Google Flights or a booking platform — flight availability from Surat changes, and a new direct service could resume in future.
Can I book just activities and transfers without a full package?
Yes. Our land packages are modular — you can take a full package, add individual activities to your own itinerary, or book just the transfers you need. If you have already planned your flights and hotels, reach us on WhatsApp at +66 82 885 5990 and we can build a ground-only quote around your dates.
