About this tour
The Bangkok City Tour gives your group a private air-conditioned car and driver to see the capital's great temples in comfort — no queuing for taxis, no bargaining with tuk-tuks in the heat. Choose a half day (up to 4–5 hours), a full day (up to 10 hours), or our last-day route that ends at the airport by 6 PM. Traffic is included in the hours. See all our Bangkok activities.
The price is per car, not per person. One car carries 1 to 4 travellers for the same price: ฿2,070 for a half day, ฿3,450 for a full day and ฿2,875 for the city-tour-to-airport day. Children take a seat like adults; a baby on a parent's lap is free. Groups of five or more need a second car, which the booking box adds automatically.
Half-day routes (4–5 hours, ฿2,070 per car):
- Grand Palace & Wat Pho: The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), the giant Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, and a short gem-factory stop.
- Wat Arun & Wat Pariwat: Wat Arun, the riverside Temple of Dawn, and Wat Pariwat, the temple famous for its playful modern carvings, plus a gem-factory stop.
- Golden Buddha & Marble Temple: The solid-gold Buddha of Wat Traimit and the white-marble Wat Benchamabophit, plus a gem-factory stop.
- Golden Buddha & Wat Maha Phruettharam: Wat Traimit and its neighbour near Hua Lamphong, Wat Maha Phruettharam, plus a gem-factory stop.
Full-day routes (up to 10 hours, ฿3,450 per car):
- Grand Palace, Wat Pho & Chao Phraya: Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, a stop by the Chao Phraya River and the Golden Buddha.

This is a car-and-driver tour, not a guided tour: the driver takes you from stop to stop and waits while you explore at your own pace. The gem-factory and showroom stops are short and browse-only — there is never any need to buy. Add an evening Chao Phraya dinner cruise, the Mahanakhon SkyWalk, or a family day at Safari World. Quick tips for your trip
- Who pays what: The price is for the whole car — 1, 2, 3 or 4 travellers pay the same. A fifth traveller needs a second car. Babies on a lap ride free.
- Start early for the Grand Palace: It admits visitors only until 3:30 PM and is busiest late morning. A 9 AM pickup gives you the palace and Wat Pho before the midday heat.
- Dress code: The Grand Palace and the temples require shoulders and knees covered — no shorts, sleeveless tops or torn jeans. Visitors who are not dressed correctly may have to rent or buy cover-ups at the gate.
- Entrance fees: Carry cash. The Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun and the Golden Buddha all charge foreign visitors at the gate; these fees are not part of the car price.
- Gem stops: The gem-factory and showroom visits are short and browse-only. If you would rather skip them, just tell your driver.
- Airport day: On the airport route keep your luggage in the car, carry your passport, and tell us your airport and flight time so we plan the timing around it.

No. The car price covers the car, the driver and your hotel pickup. The Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun and the Golden Buddha charge foreign visitors an entrance fee, paid in cash at each gate.

First time in Bangkok with only a few hours? Take the Grand Palace & Wat Pho half day, starting in the morning. Add Wat Arun and the river with a full day. On your last day, the City Tour + IconSiam + Airport route uses the hours before your flight.
