Thailand Tour Packages from Pune
Pune is one of India's most well-connected cities for Thailand travel — and yet most packages sold here are generic, overpriced, or padded with sightseeing you never asked for. Trip Dust does things differently: we build activity-first, privately transferred itineraries around what your family actually wants to do in Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket or Krabi, and we handle the Hindi-language support, Indian food finds, and WhatsApp logistics that matter once you land.
First-timers and repeat visitors will both find what they need on this page — flights, visa rules, the right package, and honest costs for a Pune traveller.
Flying from Pune to Thailand
Pune Airport (PNQ) has a direct connection to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) operated by Air India Express, with a flight time of roughly 4 hours 45 minutes. As of mid-2026, Air India Express is the sole carrier on this nonstop route after IndiGo suspended its PNQ–BKK services for the summer schedule; check the current timetable before booking as seasonal schedules do change.
If you are heading to Phuket, IndiGo operates Pune–Phuket connections (typically via a brief stop). For Pattaya, there is no direct airport — U-Tapao (UTP) is the nearest, but most travellers fly into Bangkok and take our private transfer down to Pattaya, which takes around 1.5–2 hours by road.
One-stop options via Mumbai, Delhi, or Bangkok itself open up more fare choices and can sometimes work out cheaper, especially outside peak season. Total journey time on a one-stop routing runs 8–12 hours depending on the layover. Flight fares are not included in Trip Dust land packages — fares vary and you book your own flights.
Visa for Indian Passport Holders
As of mid-2026, Indian passport holders still enter Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days. Thailand's Cabinet has approved replacing this with a 15-day stay plus a ฿2,000 visa-on-arrival (VOA) — but that change is pending Royal Gazette publication and not yet in force.
You will also need to complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before you fly. Because the rules are changing, always confirm the latest with the Royal Thai Embassy — full details in our Thailand visa guide for Indians.
Why Trip Dust Works Well for Pune Families
Most Pune families travelling to Thailand want the same things: island day-trips, a city evening show, transfers that are not a scramble, and food their kids will actually eat. Trip Dust's land packages are built around exactly that logic.
- Private transfers throughout — no shared coaches, no waiting for a mixed group. Your family, your vehicle, your schedule.
- Activity-first design — we book the coral island trip, the safari park, the James Bond Island tour; we do not pad the itinerary with unnecessary hotel nights.
- Hotels optional — if you prefer to sort accommodation yourself (points redemptions, Airbnb, family bookings), our land package still works. If you want us to include hotels, we can price that in.
- Indian and vegetarian food support — we know which restaurants in Pattaya, Bangkok and Phuket serve proper Indian food, Jain options, and vegetarian thalis. We share this proactively, not as an afterthought.
- Hindi and English WhatsApp support — reach us on +66 82 885 5990 before, during, and after your trip.
- Group pricing for a family of four — our private packages are priced per group, so a family of four typically gets far better value than booking per-person with a large tour operator.
Packages That Suit Pune Travellers
Here are three packages we commonly recommend for families flying from Pune:
Pattaya 4-Day Package
A focused Pattaya itinerary covering Coral Island, Alcazar Show, and city experiences with private transfers throughout. Ideal if you are flying direct Pune–Bangkok and want a compact, efficient trip without the overland fatigue.
Bangkok + Pattaya 5-Day Package
Combines Bangkok's Safari World and city highlights with Pattaya's beaches and evenings. A private transfer connects the two cities. This is one of our most popular routings for Pune travellers because it maximises variety within a standard school-holiday window.
Phuket 4-Day Package
For families who want sea, islands, and a slower pace. Covers Phi Phi Island and James Bond Island day-trips with private transfers. Works well if you fly Pune–Phuket direct or via Bangkok.
Browse all options at all Thailand packages, or customise your itinerary if none of these fits your dates or group size.
Best Months to Travel from Pune
Thailand's peak season (November to February) overlaps conveniently with India's wedding season and school winter break — expect higher fares and crowded islands, but excellent weather across most destinations. For Pune travellers specifically:
- October–February: Best across the board. Phuket and Krabi seas are calm, Bangkok is not yet hot, Pattaya is clear. Book early.
- March–May: Hot and dry — manageable in Pattaya and Bangkok, slightly rough seas in Phuket by May. Fares can be lower outside Indian school holidays.
- June–September: Monsoon season in Phuket and Krabi; Pattaya and Bangkok are less affected. Some island tours are weather-dependent. Fares are typically at their lowest — good value if you are flexible.
Pune families on school holidays will find the October–November window and the January long-weekend cluster particularly well-priced if booked 6–8 weeks in advance.
Rough Cost of a Thailand Trip from Pune
Costs depend on group size, chosen package, and how many hotel nights you include. As a general guide for a family of four:
- Trip Dust land package (activities + private transfers, no hotel): pricing starts around the Smart Package level — see our budget Smart package for a sense of per-person land costs.
- Hotels: Mid-range options in Pattaya and Bangkok typically run ₹4,000–8,000 per night for a family room; Phuket beachfront properties tend to be higher.
- Flights: Fares from Pune vary significantly by season and booking window. We do not include flights — book independently and compare across IndiGo, Air India Express, and one-stop options on aggregators.
- Visa: Budget THB 2,000 per person (approximately ₹4,800–5,800) for the Visa on Arrival fee, plus TDAC (free online).

FAQs — Thailand from Pune
Do Indians need a visa to visit Thailand from Pune in 2026?
As of mid-2026, Indian passport holders still get up to 60 days visa-free in Thailand. Thailand has approved replacing this with a 15-day stay plus a ฿2,000 visa-on-arrival, but it is pending official (Royal Gazette) publication and not yet in force. Because this is changing, always confirm the current rule with the Royal Thai Embassy before you travel — see our Thailand visa guide for Indians for the latest.
Is there a direct flight from Pune to Thailand?
Yes. Air India Express operates nonstop flights from Pune (PNQ) to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) with a flight time of around 4 hours 45 minutes. IndiGo has suspended its PNQ–BKK service for the summer 2026 schedule, so check current availability. For Phuket, IndiGo offers connecting options from Pune. Pattaya has no international airport — most travellers fly into Bangkok and transfer by road.
What does a Trip Dust land package include?
Our land packages include activities (island day-trips, shows, wildlife parks, etc.) and private transfers between airports, hotels and activity pick-up points. Hotels are optional — you can add them or book separately. Flights, visa fees, and personal spending are not included. Packages are priced per group, which usually makes them excellent value for a family of four.
Can we get Indian or vegetarian food in Thailand?
Absolutely. All major Thailand tourist destinations — Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket — have good Indian restaurants serving North and South Indian food, with vegetarian and Jain options available. Trip Dust proactively shares restaurant recommendations based on where you are staying. Just let us know your dietary requirements when you book.
Is Thailand suitable for children?
Yes, very much so. Thailand is one of Southeast Asia's most family-friendly destinations. Activities like Coral Island, Safari World, and Phi Phi Island boat trips are well-suited to children of most ages. Private transfers (rather than shared coaches) make travel with young children significantly less stressful. Let us know the ages of your children and we will tailor the itinerary accordingly.
How far in advance should Pune families book for the October–February peak season?
For the popular October–February window — which coincides with Diwali travel, school winter break, and Christmas — we recommend booking your flights at least 2–3 months in advance and your Trip Dust land package 6–8 weeks out. WhatsApp us at +66 82 885 5990 to check availability for your dates.
