About this tour

Monster Aquarium Pattaya is half aquarium and half mini-zoo, set entirely indoors. Rather than tanks of fish alone, it gathers marine life, reptiles, birds and a few rare land animals under one roof, which makes it an easy outing for families travelling with both kids and grandparents. You move through it at your own pace, and because most of it is air-conditioned, it works well as a midday break from Pattaya's heat.

The centrepiece is a walk-through underwater glass tunnel, roughly 10 metres long, with fish and rays passing above and to either side. The rest of the layout is split into zones:

Underwater tunnel and main tanks: the glass tunnel runs first, followed by freshwater and saltwater tanks holding giant river fish and reef species.
Reptile house: a terrarium of snakes, iguanas and lizards, with a few large pythons among them.
Bird aviary: eagles, owls, parrots and flamingos, plus ostriches in the adjoining poultry section.
Rare specimens: this is where the "monster" name fits, with curiosities such as white crocodiles and two-headed turtles.
Feeding and touch interactions: at marked points you can feed the fish and birds or hold a snake for a photo, with animal feed sold on site. A fish spa sits near the exit.
