About this tour
The Pattaya Dolphinarium runs a live marine show featuring Bottlenose Dolphins and South American Fur Seals. Each round lasts about 50 minutes: the seals perform first, then the dolphins take over for the main act. It is an indoor show, so it runs to schedule regardless of the weather.
You choose your seating tier when you book — Regular, Deluxe or VIP front-row. The front rows sit inside the splash zone and get wet during the dolphin jumps, with free ponchos handed out; Deluxe and Regular keep the full arena view from a drier distance. The VIP ticket also lets you add the optional Swim with Dolphins session after the show.
What the show includes:
- Verified on-ground — The Trip Dust team has visited in person, so the details on this page are confirmed first-hand. The main building is built in the shape of a dolphin and is easy to spot on arrival.
- Seal act — The seals open with belly flops, ball catching, balancing balls on their snouts, and routines with their trainers.
- Dolphin act — The dolphins follow with high jumps, spins, twists and tail-slaps, and trainers surfing standing on their backs.
- Splash zone — The first few rows are within reach of the water. Free rain ponchos are provided to front-row guests.
- After the show — You can add the Swim with Dolphins session or a paid photo session with the dolphins.
The show works well for most groups, including families with young children and older parents. Everyone watches from a seated indoor arena, so it involves no walking or physical activity. The one exception is the in-water Swim with Dolphins, which is open to ages 6 and above; younger children and anyone who prefers to stay out of the water can watch from their seats.
Please note: Closed every Wednesday. Booking through Trip Dust skips the mandatory 3-hour wait time at the venue — our tickets allow instant redemption.

Quick tips for your trip
- When to go: The show runs three times daily at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, about 50 minutes each. The 11:00 AM round tends to be the quietest and the 2:00 PM round the most crowded. Arrive around 30 minutes early to find your seat. The venue is closed on Wednesdays.
- The splash zone: The first two to three rows get wet during the dolphin jumps and tail-slaps. Free rain ponchos are handed out, but it helps to bring a small towel and keep your phone in a waterproof case. Choose Deluxe or Regular seating if you would rather stay dry.
- Photography: Cameras are allowed but flash is not, and the arena is bright enough that you will not need it. Sitting a few rows back gives a cleaner shot of the dolphins mid-jump; burst mode helps with the timing. The 5:00 PM show has softer light for warmer photos. A dedicated photo session with the dolphins is a separate paid add-on at the venue.
- Booking the swim: The Swim with Dolphins session lasts 10 minutes in the water and covers holding the fins, a short dance and the dolphin kiss. It is open to ages 6 and above and tends to fill before the show seats do, so reserve it with your booking rather than at the venue.
- How long to allow: Set aside roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. That covers the 50-minute show plus arriving early, taking photos and, if you have booked it, the swim session straight after.

Frequently asked questions
-
Does the show work for young children and older travellers?
Yes. The whole show is watched from a seat in an indoor arena, so there is no walking, queuing in the sun or physical effort involved, which suits children and grandparents equally. Infants under 80 cm enter free. The only part with an age limit is the optional in-water Swim with Dolphins, set at 6 years and above; everyone else watches from their seats.
-
Do I need to know how to swim for the Swim with Dolphins session?
No. The session is an optional add-on on the VIP + Swim ticket: a supervised 10-minute slot in the pool after the show, where you hold the dolphin's fins, do a short dance and get the dolphin kiss. It is open to ages 6 and up, and a trainer stays with you throughout, so strong swimming is not required. A few health conditions (heart problems, for example) and a weight limit of about 100 kg apply, and we will confirm the current rules with you on WhatsApp before you book.
-
Where can we eat veg or Indian food around the venue?
The visit runs about 1.5 to 2 hours, so most guests eat before or after rather than on site. The dolphinarium sits in the Nong Prue / North Pattaya area, with restaurants and malls a short Grab ride away, and pure-vegetarian and Indian restaurants are easy to find in central Pattaya. Share your itinerary with us on WhatsApp and we can point you to the most convenient veg-friendly option on your route.
-
What is the travel time from central Pattaya, and how do we reach the venue?
The Pattaya Dolphinarium is on the Nong Prue / North Pattaya side, close to the Bangkok–Pattaya motorway. From central Pattaya, count on about 30 to 45 minutes by Grab, Bolt or taxi, depending on traffic; it is too far to walk from Pattaya Beach. Hotel pickup and drop-off can be arranged as a paid extra on request.
-
What comes with the Trip Dust ticket, and will we avoid the long wait?
The ticket covers entry to the dolphin and seal show in your chosen seating tier: Regular, Deluxe or VIP, the last placing you in the front-row splash zone with a free poncho. Trip Dust tickets are redeemed instantly, so you skip the 3-hour wait applied at other counters and go straight in. The Swim with Dolphins session, hotel transfers and a personal photo session are separate optional extras. The venue closes on Wednesdays, and we send you the latest show timings on WhatsApp.
