About this tour
This combo pairs two of Bangkok’s indoor attractions, SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World and Madame Tussauds, on a single visit. Both sit in the Siam shopping district a few minutes’ walk apart, and both are fully air-conditioned, which makes the day work well for families and couples and gives you a reliable option when the heat or the rain rules out being outdoors. Trip Dust arranges your tickets and timing in advance, so you arrive and walk straight in.
The aquarium occupies the basement of Siam Paragon and ranks among the larger aquariums in Southeast Asia, with marine life spread across themed habitats. Madame Tussauds is a short walk away on the upper floors of Siam Discovery. The main things to see:
- 360° Ocean Tunnel: Thailand’s largest underwater walkway, where sharks, large rays and schools of fish pass directly overhead.
- Shark Walk and Rocky Shore: a viewing floor above blacktip and sand-tiger sharks, plus a touch-pool tidal zone with starfish and crabs.
- Penguin Ice Adventure: a refrigerated enclosure with live penguins, usually a favourite with younger visitors.
- Rainforest and Coral Reef zones: clownfish, otters, rays and reef species shown across recreated natural settings.
- Madame Tussauds: more than 90 wax figures of film, music, sports and political figures, arranged in themed sets built for photos.
The route is flat and entirely indoors, with lifts between levels and no physically demanding sections, so it works for young children and older travellers alike. Set aside about 3 to 4 hours for both venues. Since they are inside two of the city’s largest malls, vegetarian and Indian food is a short walk away either before or after.

Quick tips for your trip
- When to go: Both venues are indoors and run year-round regardless of weather. Weekday mornings, close to the 10 AM opening, are the quietest; weekends, public holidays and school breaks draw the biggest crowds around the ocean tunnel and the penguins.
- What to carry: Bring a light jacket, as the aquarium halls and the penguin enclosure are kept cool, and wear comfortable shoes, since both venues involve a fair amount of walking.
- Photography: Phone cameras are allowed throughout. Keep the flash off inside the aquarium; it disturbs the animals and reflects off the glass. Madame Tussauds is set up for photos with the figures, so it is the place to take your time.
- How long to allow: Budget 3 to 4 hours overall, around 1.5 to 2 hours at SEA LIFE and 1 to 1.5 hours at Madame Tussauds, plus the walk in between.

Frequently asked questions
-
Where are the two venues located, and how far apart are they?
Both stand in the Siam shopping district next to BTS Siam station. SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is in the basement of Siam Paragon, and Madame Tussauds is on the upper floors of the adjacent Siam Discovery, a covered walk of a few minutes between them. The area is central and reached easily by BTS Skytrain or Grab from most Bangkok hotels. We share the exact meeting point on WhatsApp.
-
Does the visit work for children and older travellers?
Yes. The whole route is indoor, air-conditioned and flat, served by lifts and escalators, with no demanding activity, only gentle walking. Children tend to gravitate to the sharks and penguins, while older travellers appreciate the cool, unhurried pace indoors.
-
Can we find vegetarian or Indian food near the venues?
Yes. Both attractions are inside Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery, so a large food court and a wide choice of restaurants are minutes away. The Siam Paragon food court includes vegetarian stalls, and there are Indian and pure-veg options in and around the Siam malls, which makes a meal before or after the visit straightforward.
-
Is photography permitted inside?
Yes, phone photography is allowed at both venues, and the wax-figure sets at Madame Tussauds are arranged with photos in mind. The exception is the aquarium, where the flash must stay off because it disturbs the animals and reflects off the tanks.
-
Do young children need their own ticket?
At SEA LIFE, children under 2 enter free, ages 2 to 11 use a child ticket, and adult pricing applies from 12. Strollers are allowed inside. Ticket categories and any age or height rules can change, so we confirm the current child pricing for your group on WhatsApp at the time of booking.
