About this tour

Thai Thani Cultural Village recreates a traditional Thai village in the Sattahip / Bang Sare area, south of central Pattaya. The site is built around three things: Thai food, live performance and handicraft. You eat a Thai buffet, watch a cultural show and learn a craft of your choosing, rather than just looking at exhibits, which makes it a quieter half-day away from Pattaya's beaches and shopping streets.

Your package combines village admission with a Thai traditional buffet, a live cultural performance show, a pottery museum pass and one hands-on workshop. Here is what each part involves:

  • Thai traditional buffet — a spread of Thai dishes that includes vegetarian options as well as the regular menu. Tell us about any dietary needs at booking and we will note them with the village.
  • Live cultural show — classical and folk dance, drawn from Thailand's four regions, performed with traditional music while you eat.
  • Hands-on workshops — choose one of several: a Thai cooking class (Som Tam, Pad Thai or Tom Yum), Thai dessert making, candle making, herbal-inhaler crafting, eco tie-dye, eco flower-bag printing, traditional paper-cutting or a beginner Muay Thai session.
  • Thai costume dress-up — a traditional Thai outfit with accessories, hairstyling and a parasol, set up for photos. Included in Package B and C.
  • Pottery museum & village grounds — the pottery museum, a small Buddhist temple and original wooden Thai houses, all within a garden you can walk around.
  • Meet the elephant — the village keeps a resident elephant you can see and feed on site. This is a separate paid add-on at the venue, not part of this package.

The visit works for families with children, couples and groups of friends after something cultural and creative. Most of the time goes on eating, watching the show, crafting and walking the grounds, which keeps it manageable for older travellers. Children under 90 cm enter free, and child rates apply up to 120 cm. Each package and workshop is booked in advance, so choose your option below and reserve a slot before you travel.

Please note: Exact inclusions vary by package — Package A, B and C each bundle different workshops and extras. Check the live package options below before you book.

Quick tips for your trip

  • Recommended time to visit: the village is usually open 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Arriving in the late morning lets you take the buffet around lunchtime, then the cultural show and a workshop without rushing. Weekdays are quieter than weekends.
  • Dress code: modest, casual clothes are fine. Wear something you don't mind getting a little messy for the hands-on crafts such as cooking, candle making or eco dyeing, and bring sports clothes if you add the Muay Thai session.
  • Photography tip: the wooden Thai houses, the temple and the garden photograph well, and the costume dress-up in Package B and C is set up for portraits. Morning or late-afternoon light is softer than midday. Keep your camera ready for the cultural dance show.
  • Recommended visit duration: plan for about 4 to 5 hours for the full experience — the buffet, the cultural performance show, your workshop and a wander around the village grounds.
  • Good to know: every package and workshop is reserved in advance, so lock in your slot before you arrive. Children under 90 cm enter free; up to 120 cm they qualify for child rates; above that, the adult rate applies.

Frequently asked questions

  • Does the buffet have vegetarian dishes, and is it part of the package?

Yes. The Thai traditional buffet is included in Packages A, B and C, and it sets out vegetarian dishes alongside the regular Thai menu. For stricter requirements such as Jain or no onion and garlic, let us know at booking and we will pass it to the village so the kitchen can advise you on the day.

  • Will it work for young children and grandparents?

Yes — very much so. It is one of the gentler cultural visits near Pattaya. The day is mostly eating the buffet, watching the dance show, trying a craft and walking the grounds, so children and older travellers manage it comfortably. Children tend to enjoy the workshops, the costume dress-up and meeting the elephant. Under 90 cm they enter free, and up to 120 cm they qualify for child rates.

  • Can we meet or feed the elephant at the village?

Yes. The village keeps a resident elephant that you can meet and feed on site. This is a separate paid add-on arranged at the venue and is not part of the buffet, show and workshop package booked here. If you want to add it, message us on WhatsApp and we will share the current options.

  • Whereabouts is the village, and is it far from the beach area?

Thai Thani sits in the Sattahip / Bang Sare area, south of central Pattaya, a fair drive out from the main beach and Walking Street. Hotel transfers are not part of the standard package, so most guests take a Grab or taxi, or request paid pick-up from us. We will confirm the exact location and the travel time from your hotel on WhatsApp.

  • How much time does it take, and should I reserve ahead?

Allow about 4 to 5 hours to take the buffet, the cultural show and a workshop at a relaxed pace; the village is usually open 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Booking ahead is required: every package and workshop is reserved in advance here, so confirm your option before the visit rather than arriving on the day.
