About this tour

The Pattaya Crocodile Farm combines three things on one ticket: thousands of crocodiles, a small zoo of other animals, and a stone park built around rock and petrified-wood formations dated at over a hundred million years old. The day is organised around the live crocodile shows, where trainers handle adult animals at close range, but most visitors spend as much time walking the gardens and watching the white tigers, elephants and giraffes as they do at the show ring.

What you'll see

  • Crocodile shows — Trainers work with adult crocodiles bare-handed, putting hands and heads near the animals. Shows run several times a day; you watch from a tiered spectator area.
  • The animals — White tigers, elephants, giraffes and tropical birds share the grounds with the crocodiles. Paid feeding sessions are offered for some species if you want a closer look.
  • Petrified wood and rare plants — The park displays fossilised wood dated at more than 100 million years, alongside the Pong Chamao Cycad, a Thai plant listed as critically endangered.
  • Dragon Stone — A single rock of roughly 90 tons, weathered into a dragon-like shape, set as the centrepiece of one of the gardens.

The grounds run to more than 70 acres, about 12 km north of Pattaya Beach, or a 30 to 45 minute drive by Grab or taxi. It works well as a half-day outing for families and for anyone who wants a mix of the live shows, the animals and a quiet walk through the rock gardens rather than a single attraction.

Quick tips for your trip

  • When to go: The farm opens year-round. Aim for the morning, between 9:00 AM and noon, to walk the grounds before the midday heat and to catch an early show. During the monsoon months (May to October), rain tends to come in the afternoon, so an early start helps.
  • What to wear: Light, comfortable clothing and shoes you can walk in. Skip loose, flowing garments and dangling accessories, since much of the visit is outdoors and close to the animal enclosures.
  • Photos: Use your phone or camera zoom for close-ups rather than leaning over barriers. It keeps you at a safe distance and avoids crowding the animals.
  • How long to allow: Two hours covers the live shows, the zoo and a walk through the Million Years Stone Park at an unhurried pace.

Frequently asked questions

  • Where is the farm, and what is the best way to get there from Pattaya?

The farm is in the Nong Pla Lai area, around 12 km north of central Pattaya. From most hotels the drive takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, and a Grab or metered taxi is the simplest option. We can also arrange pickup and drop for you on a paid basis; message us on WhatsApp to set it up.

  • Will it work for young children and older travellers in the family?

Yes, it's a common family visit. The shows and the animals hold children's attention, and the stone-park paths are flat and easy to walk for older guests. The site is large and mostly open to the sun, and Pattaya gets hot, so plan a morning visit, carry water and a hat, and make use of the shaded seating along the route.

  • Is there vegetarian or Indian food available?

There is a small café and snack stalls inside, but no dedicated Indian restaurant, so many guests bring a few snacks and keep their main meal for before or after the visit. Pattaya city, 30 to 45 minutes away, has a good range of Indian and pure-veg places. Share your timing on WhatsApp and we'll suggest restaurants along the way.

  • Can we take photos, and how close do we get to the crocodiles?

Photography is allowed, and the rocks, gardens and shows all photograph well. At the crocodile show you watch from a fenced spectator area while the trainers perform. For close shots of the animals, use your camera or phone zoom instead of reaching past the barriers, both for your safety and for the animals'.

  • Do tickets need to be reserved ahead, and what are the opening hours?

Entry tickets are confirmed in advance, and we ask for at least 24 hours' notice. The park usually runs daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with crocodile shows at several set times during the day. We'll confirm the exact hours and show schedule for your date on WhatsApp before your visit.
