About this tour
PADO Media Art Space is Pattaya's first large-scale immersive media art hall. Instead of paintings on a wall, you walk through 12 themed rooms where floor-to-ceiling projection, sound and motion fill the space around you. The rooms vary in mood: some are quiet and slow-moving, others are loud with colour and scale, and a couple are built mainly for play.
The hall is in the Naklua / North Pattaya area (the Pattaya Sai 3 side), about a 10 to 20 minute Grab or baht-bus ride from the central beach and most hotels. If you have already covered Pattaya's beaches, markets and cabaret shows, it adds a different kind of stop to the trip. The whole building is indoor and air-conditioned, so it works well during the midday heat or on a wet day, and most of the rooms are designed with photos and video in mind.
The 12 art zones inside
- Universe — A "universe of light" with stars, planets and galaxies projected around you on a large scale.
- Harmony — A blooming digital garden inspired by Thai flowers, with soft visuals and a slow, gentle pace.
- Secret — A digital forest lit by fireflies, butterflies and scattered points of light.
- PADO (Wave) — A signature room built around flowing wave-motion art that reads particularly well on video.
- Time & Space — Abstract visuals pitched between the real and the imagined, with a strong sense of movement and depth.
- Highlight — A bold "light and darkness" space with large-scale art projected on every side.
- Aurora — A night sky of slowly shifting, aurora-like colour. One of the rooms guests mention most.
- Wish — A "sky of lanterns" room set up as a quiet, slower moment.
- Aqua — A waterfall-and-water world with smooth, continuous motion.
- Playground — An interactive zone aimed at children, though adults tend to join in too.
- Travel — Thai traditional culture and art reworked in a modern, digital form.
- Insight — A calm "space of enlightenment" near the exit, also marked as a dedicated photo spot.
The visit works for a wide range of guests, from families with children to couples, friends and people shooting content. Nothing in it is frightening or physically demanding; you walk, watch and take photos at your own pace, which keeps it comfortable for older travellers as well.
Please note: Free personal lockers are provided — store your bags and walk through every room hands-free. The whole space is indoor and air-conditioned.

PADO Media Art Space Pattaya – Itinerary
-
Day visit
Late morning / early afternoon
Quieter time with fewer people. Lighting feels softer and more relaxed — good if you want to take your time in each room.
-
Evening visit
After 4:00 PM
Stronger lighting effects, darker rooms, more dramatic visuals. Colours look deeper on camera — popular with content creators.
-
Highlight rooms
Universe · Aurora · PADO Wave
These three rooms are the highlights — Universe for the galaxy visuals, Aurora for the moving Northern Lights, PADO Wave for video-worthy motion art.
-
Family zones
Playground & Aqua
Kids gravitate to these — Playground is interactive and hands-on, Aqua is a flowing digital underwater world. Adults usually love them too.
-
Wind-down
Insight room
A quiet, calm room at the end — a good place to sit down and take in the environment before you leave.
Quick tips for your trip
- When to go: PADO opens daily, generally from late morning until late evening, with last entry about an hour before closing. We confirm the current day's timings on WhatsApp before you book. For fewer people, come late morning or early afternoon. For darker rooms and deeper colour on camera, go in the evening. Weekdays are quieter than weekends.
- What to wear: There is no dress code. Wear something light and comfortable with flat shoes, since you will be on your feet and moving between rooms for most of the visit. Free lockers are on site, so leave heavy bags there and walk through hands-free.
- Photography: Photos and video are allowed in the rooms, and it is one of the main reasons people come. Skip the flash where staff ask you to, and let each room's projection light the shot. The "Insight" room doubles as a dedicated photo spot. Evening light gives deeper colour on camera; daytime is softer.
- How long to allow: Set aside roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to cover all 12 zones at a steady pace. Allow more time if you plan to photograph each room or sit in your favourites.

Frequently asked questions
-
Which part of Pattaya is PADO in, and how do I get there?
The hall is in the Naklua / North Pattaya area, on the Pattaya Sai 3 side just north of the city. From central Pattaya or the beachfront hotels, count on about a 10 to 20 minute ride by Grab, taxi or baht-bus. We send the exact location on WhatsApp once you book.
-
Will it work for young children and older parents?
Yes. There is nothing frightening or physically demanding here. You walk, watch and take photos at your own pace. Children tend to head for the interactive Playground zone, and because the whole hall is indoor and air-conditioned, it stays comfortable for older travellers too.
-
Is there vegetarian or Indian food nearby?
The visit runs about 1.5 to 2 hours, so most guests eat before or after rather than on site. Naklua and the wider Central and North Pattaya area have a good range of restaurants and cafes within a short Grab ride, including some Indian and vegetarian options.
-
Can I take photos and videos inside?
Yes. Photos and video are allowed throughout the rooms and are a big part of why people visit. The one rule is to skip the flash wherever staff ask you to. The "Insight" room is set up as a dedicated photo spot, and the evening lighting gives the deepest colour on camera.
-
Is the whole thing indoors, and does that help in hot or rainy weather?
It is entirely indoor and air-conditioned, which makes it a sensible plan during the midday heat or on a wet day in Pattaya. Free lockers are on site, so you can leave your bags and walk through hands-free.
