About this tour
Flying Hanuman is a treetop zipline course set in the forested hills of Kathu, the district that sits inland between Patong and Phuket Town. After a harness fit-out, you move through the canopy on a circuit of ziplines, aerial bridges, spiral staircases and abseil descents, crossing between platforms built into the trees. The park takes its name and theme from Hanuman, a detail Indian visitors tend to recognise straight away.
The course is sold as four separate routes, which lets a first-timer and a more confident group member each choose a length that fits. Trip Dust books all four:
- FH1 — Original Thrill (with meal): the longest route, around 2–3 hours and the most platforms, with a meal included.
- FH2 — Epic Adventure: a 1–2 hour run covering a good share of the ziplines and bridges.
- FH3 — New Heights with Canopy: a shorter 30-minute to 1-hour route, suited to a tighter schedule or a first attempt at ziplining.
- Canopy Jungle Walk: a roughly 30-minute treetop walk for anyone who wants the forest and the views but not the faster zips.
To extend the visit into a half day, Flying Hanuman can be paired with add-ons such as an ATV ride, elephant feeding, the Hanuman World roller-zipline, Skywalk or LUGE, or a set meal at the Three Monkeys Restaurant. Tell us on WhatsApp which extras you want and we will put the combination together.
The activity works for families, couples and groups of friends, and children from age 4 can take part. As it is a physical course at height, it is not advised for pregnant women or anyone with heart, back or knee conditions, and the gear carries a 120 kg weight limit.

Quick tips for your trip
- When to go: The park runs daily, usually about 8 AM to 6 PM. The earlier rounds, around 8 AM or 10 AM, are cooler and tend to be quieter. We confirm the exact start time and current schedule with you on WhatsApp.
- What to wear: Activewear and closed-toe shoes such as sneakers that you do not mind getting muddy. Leave off loose jewellery, scarves and anything dangling that could catch on a line. Tie long hair back, and pack a light layer during the rainy season.
- Photography: A GoPro or a phone on a secure wrist or neck strap is the practical choice, since both hands need to stay free and loose items cannot be carried mid-zip. Guides on the platforms can usually take a few action shots of you. Use the lockers for everything else.
- Eating beforehand: A light meal about an hour ahead is fine; a heavy lunch just before the course can sit uncomfortably during the swings and descents. The meal is already part of the package on the FH1 and SD2 combos.
- How long to set aside: Budget at least 1.5 hours. The Canopy Walk and FH3 take roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour, FH2 about 1–2 hours, and the full FH1 route around 2–3 hours, before travel time from your hotel.

Frequently asked questions
-
How is safety handled on the course?
You stay clipped into a full harness, helmet and double safety lines throughout. Trained zipline staff give a briefing before you begin and accompany you across the platforms, and the equipment is inspected on a regular schedule. No prior experience is needed; the guides set the pace and handle the technical side.
-
Can children and older family members do it?
Children from age 4 are allowed on the course. For older travellers it comes down to mobility, since there is walking, stair climbing and stepping off raised platforms involved. The activity is not advised for pregnant women or for anyone with heart, back or knee conditions. A family member who would rather skip the zips can do the Canopy Jungle Walk instead. The harness also has a 120 kg weight limit.
-
Whereabouts is the park, and what is the drive time?
Flying Hanuman sits in the Kathu district, in the inland hills between Patong and Phuket Town. Reckon on about 20–30 minutes by road from Patong and 25–35 minutes from Phuket Town, traffic depending. We can add hotel pick-up and drop-off for a fee; send your hotel name on WhatsApp and we will arrange the transfer.
-
Are vegetarian or Indian meals on offer?
The meal included with the FH1 route and the SD2 (Three Monkeys Restaurant) combo is Thai, chosen from a set menu, and a vegetarian dish can usually be arranged if you flag it in advance. For strictly vegetarian or Indian food, eating at your hotel or an Indian restaurant in Patong before or after tends to work better, as the visit itself is short.
-
Is a phone or camera allowed up on the zips?
It is, provided it is secured on a wrist strap, neck strap or GoPro mount, because both hands must stay free and nothing loose can be carried on the line. Lockers hold bags, wallets and anything else you would rather not take up. A GoPro is the usual choice for first-person footage.
